Operator Training

The most important part of any lab, no matter what the budget, are the operators. Without proper training on sample handling and preparation, instrument maintenance and upkeep, and laboratory practices in general, the most expensive instruments won’t be able to produce accurate or repeatable data. We’ve worked new college graduates in their first jobs, operators with limited experience in the industry, all the way up to doctoral chemists that just need a few pointers to get going with a new matrix. With that variety of experience, we can get any employee to not only know what they’re doing to run the analyses but why they’re doing it.

Standard Operating Procedures

We consider every detail of the analysis, from the instrument setup and general considerations, all the way down to consumables and standards. These documents have been honed over multiple years and iterations to be an immaculate representation of each method.

Instrument Verification

Before an analytical instrument can run samples, the instrument needs to be verified to be in good working order and the method needs to be input. Our experience with a variety of instrument setups and vintages means that whether a lab is a new set up with state of the art equipment, transitioning from a different industry, or set up with second hand instrumentation, we can get it up and running. Before we implement any methods, we make sure that the instruments are well suited for the task and dialed in to perform.

Application Implementation

Our chemists have optimized methods with many labs to get them through to state or country validations and come with the experience to ensure the best methods are used.

Method Validation

Each analysis performed must meet exacting standards to be acceptable in the eyes of the locality’s governing body. Above and beyond just implementing the methods, they can be optimized further for each instance. With a structured validation scheme, we can work closely on every detail of the method to get the required targets to validate a method.

Accreditation Consulting

In a changing regulatory environment, it’s hard to know exactly what auditors will expect in an application. Having assisted labs through that process, we have made indispensable connections and gained much insight into how to navigate that process.

Quality Control

Analytical numbers with no context or explanation can’t help improve a process. We can make that data a useful tool with statistical process control, data analytics and other process analysis. Being able to understand the bigger picture can help direct decisions to increase yield and efficiency in manufacturing.
